Every accredited residency programme running at UMFST Târgu Mureș is open under the Pathway — 49 specialties across medical, surgical, and paraclinical groups, each with a training duration set nationally by the Romanian Ministry of Health. You'll state three choices, ranked in order of preference, when you apply.

No pre-set seat allocation for the first cohort
For this first admission cycle there is no pre-defined seat allocation per specialty. The aim of the inaugural cohort is to identify which specialties attract the strongest interest, so candidates may apply for any specialty on the list, and preferences will shape training capacity in later cycles. If applications for a specialty exceed current clinical training capacity, candidates will be offered redistribution to a related specialty of their choice.
